San Luis Obispo Mayor, Vice Mayor, City Council endorse candidate for senate

–John Laird, candidate for State Senate, recently announced endorsements by San Luis Obispo Mayor Heidi Harmon, Vice Mayor Andy Pease and Council members Carlyn Christianson, Aaron Gomez and Erica Stewart.

“John Laird really understands the big picture in California, especially in terms of issues related to the environment, education, the economy and housing,” said Harmon. “He also understands local government and the needs of individual community members, having been a mayor and city council member himself. We need him in Sacramento representing our needs and the local perspective.”

“I’ve been meeting with elected officials throughout San Luis Obispo County, hearing first-hand about their unique challenges in addressing quality of life and delivery of services. As State Senator, I will work hard to make sure that these local voices are represented in what I do,” said Laird. “I am honored to have earned the support of San Luis Obispo’s mayor, vice mayor and city council members.”
