San Miguel Fire Department trains for fire season 

San Miguel Fire DepartmentThe San Miguel Fire Department conducted training this week for a potentially dangerous fire season. With gusty winds blowing down the Salinas Valley, a dozen fire fighters performed a progressive hose lay Tuesday night in the park at Crispin and Verde.

The drought has enhanced fire danger in the North County for the summer of 2014. Staff and volunteer fire fighters with the San Miguel Fire Department are preparing for potential hazards.
