San Miguel kids get Christmas gift delivery
The California Highway Patrol and San Luis Obispo Sheriff’s Department joined the Childrens Resource Network in giving away toys and clothing to hundreds of people Sunday afternoon in San Miguel. The Food Bank also gave away food. Assemblyman Katcho Achadjian dressed as Santa Claus and handed out candy canes.
The San Miguel stop was the 5th for the Childrens Resource Network this holiday season. Their trailer allows them to take toys and clothing to areas where San Luis Obispo County’s underprivileged live.
The Childrens Resource Network was founded five years ago by Lisa Rey to serve the needs of impoverished county residents.
