Scarecrows fill Cambria in October

This fall, the Cambria Scarecrow Committee invites the public to enjoy a fun and relaxing get-away to the cozy north coast village. For the entire month of October, hundreds of artfully crafted scarecrows are displayed throughout the seaside villages of Cambria & San Simeon. It is truly a case of whimsy running rampant!

After a full day of scarecrow viewing, take a stroll on the beach, wander through one-of-a-kind shops and galleries, sip some local wine or beer and feast at some of the best restaurants around.

And be prepared to engage with our scarecrows! They have gone high hi-tech and each scarecrow has a story to tell!! Use your smart phone or tablet to scan the QR code on each scarecrow and learn fascinating facts about the scarecrow in front of you. You can even track your favorite scarecrows, rate them or post their picture to your Facebook friends.

Enter the People’s Choice Raffle for a chance to win a 2-Day Cambria Getaway that includes lodging for two nights, lunches and dinners. Other raffle prizes include, a Hearst Castle tour, kayaking, wine tasting and gift certificates for some of Cambria’s most popular shops.
