School district receives doses of COVID-19 vaccine, will begin inoculating staff

    paso robles schools re-opening

–The Paso Robles Joint Unified School District has received 400 doses of COVID-19 vaccine, enough to inoculate their entire staff over the next two weeks. Previous to this news, the district was receiving small apportionments of vaccine through the San Luis Obispo County Health Department and the San Luis Obispo County Office of Education. This required them to prioritize staff categories to deliver vaccines to those at greatest risk – beginning with special education teachers, etc.

This large quantity means all staff will be able to receive vaccinations now. The news comes just after the district announced its return to class for secondary students on March 16.
