Search conducted of ‘person of interest’s’ home 

–On Monday, San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Detectives conducted a search at a property in the 4000 block of Whispering Oaks Way in Paso Robles. This property was formerly owned by Brian Greer, a person of interest in the Jerry Greer murder investigation.

Jerry Greer was found dead in his home on March 28, 2009 in the 2000 block of Santa Rita Road in Templeton. Greer’s body was found by family members, and his death was deemed a homicide.

Members of the Sheriff’s Office Detective’s Division continue to investigate the murder of Jerry Greer and have been following up on recent leads. The property searched was owned by Brian Greer during the time of his father, Jerry Greer’s murder. Sheriff’s Detectives searched the exterior of the property only, and utilized metal detectors during their search.

The Sheriff’s Office is not commenting further on the details of this investigation at this time.
