Seats open on Templeton Area Advisory Group

TAAG: Four seats and two alternate positions are open

TAAGThose interested in serving on the Templeton Area Advisory Group (TAAG) have until Thursday night, Jan. 16, at the TAAG meeting to announce their candidacy. Incumbents Sarah Maggelet, David La Rue, Jeff Debrish, Dorothy Jennings and Keith Rau have declared their interest in standing for election once again.

Bill Hockey is retiring from TAAG. Candidates have until the end of Thursday night’s meeting to declare their interest in serving. There are four seats open on the board and two alternate seats up for election. Candidates must be registered voters and live within the Templeton Unified School District boundaries.

TAAG serves the greater Templeton area out to the school district boundaries as an advisory body to the Board of Supervisors on land use, zoning, and planning.

Among these issues is the potential loss of agricultural properties due to water offsets in the Groundwater Basin Urgency Ordinance and the potential elimination of wells in the rural residential areas within the Templeton Community Service District boundaries.
