Update: Missing senior citizen found
Update posted Friday, 2:30 p.m.:
On Oct. 7, at approximately 11 a.m., San Luis Obispo Police Officers, acting on additional information received this morning, conducted an expanded search of the area surrounding Las Brisas and located James Erickson, a 75-year-old San Luis Obispo man that had been previously reported missing. He was conscious and transported to the hospital for evaluation.

James Erickson was last seen Oct. 5 at the Las Brisas Retirement Community in San Luis Obispo–The San Luis Obispo Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating James Erickson, age 75, of San Luis Obispo. Erickson suffers from a medical condition and voluntarily walked away from his home. He was last seen October 5th at about 12 PM at Las Brisas Retirement Community in San Luis Obispo. Erickson is a white male with short gray hair and blue eyes. He is 6’0” and weighs about 150 pounds. Erickson does not have access to a car or cell phone and his clothing description is unknown.
