Series of winter storms approaching 

On March 22 2018 ten residents of Paso Robles were rescued and had to be moved safely to the shore during a period of intense rainfall after a series of winter storms.

–A series of pacific storms with the potential of between 3 and 8 inches of rain is forecast for the area beginning Friday Jan. 11 thru next Thursday.

Those that reside in low lying areas prone to flooding are advised to take pre-cautionary measures in advance of these storms. Storm preparations may include sandbags, clearing storm drains and gutters of debris and having safe and alternative lighting and heating in the event of power outages.

During storm events always remember to be aware of rapidly rising water levels and swift moving water.

The Salinas River Bed is extremely hazardous during these rain events and ALL Residents are advised to stay clear of the river bed. On March 22 2018 ten residents of Paso Robles were rescued and had to be moved safely to the shore during a period of intense rainfall after a series of winter storms. Signs indicating danger have been posted along the riverbed, to advise people not to enter the area.
