    Seven newly graduated cadets join sheriff’s office 

    – The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office reported that seven cadets graduated and were promoted to deputy sheriff during the graduation ceremony for Allan Hancock College’s Basic Law Enforcement Academy Class 130.

    The ceremony took place Dec. 3. According to the sheriff’s office, the graduates completed the academy and will now serve communities across the Central Coast.

    Deputy Mike Almaguer received the Defensive Tactics Award and the Firearm Award. Deputy Jessie Hufstetler earned the Scenario Award. Deputy Patricia Salemi-Massaro received the Safe Driving Award.

    The sheriff’s office stated it is proud of the graduates and welcomed them to the team.
