Shandon superintendent retires 

–Superintendent Teresa Taylor’s served her last day with the Shandon School District on Friday. Taylor spent four years as Superintendent/Principal and nine years as an administrator in the Shandon School District. Before Shandon, Taylor worked as Dean of Students at Templeton High School. Altogether, she worked 30 years in education.

Taylor says she enjoyed her tenure in Shandon, and has a lot of appreciation for the support of the community. She was particularly enamored by her conscientious staff and the delicious food they brought in to share.

Teresa grew up in the Paso Robles area. She is the sister of local community leader Wade Taylor, who is a real estate agent Re/Max Parkside Realty. Teresa’s daughter, Carli Bradshaw, teaches Agriculture at Paso Robles High School. Carli is presently attending an agriculture sustainability symposium in Ecuador.

Kristina Benson of Templeton High School was selected to succeed Taylor as the new superintendent in Shandon. Benson is wrapping up her duties as Principal of Templeton Middle School. Kristina has two decades experience n public education. Previously, she worked as a pathology assistant and assistant forensic serologist. She developed a college preparatory forensic science class at Templeton High School. Benson is currently working on her doctorate.
