Update: Templeton man admits to mowing the lawn naked

    Update June 28, 2021:

Man thought his property was far enough away from roadway

On Monday, at approximately 7 p.m., the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a man mowing his lawn in the nude in the 500 block of Templeton Road in Templeton. Deputies contacted the subject Monday evening.

“The man admitted to mowing his lawn while naked and had been doing so for the last two years,” says Tony Cipolla, the sheriff’s spokesman.

“It’s fairly rural in that area and the man thought his house and lawn were set back far enough from the roadway that his mowing would not be noticed. The man said he was not mowing his lawn with the intent to expose himself to vehicles passing by.”

Deputies counseled the man and he agreed he would no longer mow his lawn naked, Cipolla said.
