Is Sheriff’s office protecting those responsible for killing a man?

    To the editor,

Is there any investigation on why the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office is withholding names of those involved. Are sheriff’s deputies protecting the correctional officers responsible for killing a man? If this had been anyone else they would have been arrested and booked. But it seems to me these criminals are out on the street living there normal lives. Going to work, sleeping in there beds and free like nothing happened. They need to be held accountable for there actions. I think the public needs to know who these criminals are.

Assuming your assertion is correct that CDC officers were involved in this you should know that the names of law enforcement officers involved in such matters are never given out half-haphazardly due to the very nature of their job working in a prison. However, at some point names will be released as the investigation moves forward as it invariably does. There is no conspiracy, but rather common polices and procedures are being followed.

Mr Noyes ,don't you agree that the prison guards should surrender their weapons and be put on administrative leave till the investigation is complete ,assuming they are the suspects!

I know everyone likes to jump to conclusions…just wait for the report/statements before we have a mini Freguson or Trayvon Martin witch hunt. Oh, and if they are CDC officers, they should get nailed for it. NO PAID ADMIN LEAVE EITHER. This did not happen on the job (assuming) so if they are sitting in jail they can use their vacation and sick time just like a non-govt worker would have to do. If they run out of vacation and sick, o'well.
