Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center  Receives Top Honor from Tenet Healthcare

–Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center was one of seven hospitals to receive Tenet Healthcare’s Circle of Excellence award for demonstrating outstanding clinical and operational performance in 2015. This is the third time the medical center has earned the award having been recognized previously in 2010 and 2012.

President of hospital operations for Tenet Eric Evans said the prestigious award recognizes Tenet hospitals that have excelled in delivering best-in-class patient care and patient experiences, attained superior satisfaction scores from physicians and employees, and demonstrated outstanding operational performance. “It is evident that the leadership team and staff are focused on distinguishing their hospital by making safety, service and industry-leading clinical outcomes the cornerstones of their mission,” he said. “We are pleased to celebrate their accomplishments with this award.”

Chief Executive Officer Joe DeSchryver said earning the Circle of Excellence highlights Sierra Vista’s exceptional performance in areas such as quality, patient and physician satisfaction, safety and growth. “This accomplishment reflects the importance of having a positive work environment,” he said. “By partnering with physicians and empowering employees we have fostered a culture based on trust, transparency, collaboration and cooperation.”

Sierra Vista is the largest hospital in San Luis Obispo County, it has 164 beds and hundreds of physicians, Sierra Vista puts advanced technology into the hands of experienced medical specialists to deliver quality healthcare to Central Coast residents and visitors. Its distinct, high-level services include neurosurgery, perinatology (high-risk pregnancy), neonatology (high-risk newborn care), pediatrics and trauma.
