SkillsUSA seeking business, industry partners

PRHS Skills USA state conference participants.

–It’s not too late to support 82 PRHS students who will be attending the California State Leadership & Skills Conference in Ontario in April. The conference costs include registration, hotel, materials, and transportation.

SkillsUSA is a student, industry, and teacher organization encouraging students to experience the “world of work.” Students compete in many different occupational areas with training taking place in students’ Career Technical Education Pathway courses at PRHS. Those students winning a gold medal at the State Conference will advance to the National Conference in Louisville, Kentucky in June. Cost to attend the National Conference includes registration, flights, and lodging.

SkillsUSA Chapter 211 is a non-profit corporation and all levels of donation are greatly appreciated. If interested in making a donation, please contact Randy Canaday at rcanaday@pasoschools.org.

And be sure to mark your calendar for the annual Sponsor Appreciation Dinner on May 9 to honor donors. This year’s guest speaker is a PRHS SkillsUSA Alumni, Brandon Van Loon.
