Skye Ravy promoted to managing editor at Access Publishing

–Paso Robles-based advertising and marketing company Access Publishing this week promoted staff writer and copyeditor Skye Ravy to managing editor.
Scott Brennan, CEO of Access Publishing, brought Ravy onto the team in March of 2015 to help create and edit news stories for the Paso Robles Daily News, the San Luis Obispo County Visitor’s Guide, as well as to create press releases, blogs and web content for online marketing clients, and copy edit many of the other publications released by the company.
In Ravy’s new position, she is managing a staff of over 10 staff and freelance writers for the Paso Robles Daily News, the A-Town Daily News, Templeton Community Guide, The San Luis Obispo County Visitor’s Guide, and others. Ravy also manages content creation for websites and manages the creation of press releases and blogs for local search clients.
“Skye has been a real asset to our team,” Brennan says. “Her role here has grown significantly since bringing her on. Her new title better reflects the work she does here.”
Ravy said she enjoys the work that she does for Access for a lot of reasons, “We have a great staff of writers here, and I really enjoy working with the team in the office as well,” she said. “I love working for a local company run by local people.”
Ravy says her favorite parts of her job include assigning and writing stories for the news sites and for the visitor’s guide. “I’ve become a news junkie,” she said. “I also love every town in this county and have a lot of pride about living in this beautiful place, so I love putting together the visitor’s guide and sharing information about all my favorite spots.”
Ravy has always had a passion for writing. She also enjoys painting, ceramics, and other creative endeavors. Ravy also teaches painting and craft classes throughout the county with her side business, Paint Party.
