SLO County Airport adds new premium parking next to terminal
Existing airport parking rates remain unchanged
– San Luis Obispo County Airport will open a new premium parking lot next to the terminal on Feb. 9, providing travelers with an additional parking option close to the terminal.
The new Premium Parking Lot is located in the former rental car ready return area and offers approximately 60 parking spaces designed to provide quicker access for travelers.
Parking in the Premium Lot will start at $35 per day. Travelers may continue to use the airport’s four existing parking lots at the current daily rate of $25, which will remain unchanged.
“Travel looks different for everyone,” said Supervisor Dawn Ortiz-Legg. “The Premium Parking Lot offers added convenience for people who value close access to the terminal, alongside the airport’s existing parking options.”
Courtney Johnson, director of airports, said the new lot supports growing passenger demand.
“With continued growth in passenger activity, we’re being thoughtful about how we expand access and convenience at the airport,” Johnson said. “The Premium Parking Lot provides an additional option for travelers who value proximity to the terminal, while allowing us to continue offering a range of parking choices for the broader community.”
Airport officials said the opening of the Premium Parking Lot reflects the airport’s ongoing efforts to improve the travel experience through planned investments.
