Ballots remaining by district in SLO County

Late Monday, San Luis Obispo County Clerk-Record Tommy Gong released an updated tally of the remaining ballots by contest/district. There are now a total of 4,927 vote-by-mail and provisional ballots remaining to be counted in the county. Here are the highlights of remaining vote-by-mail ballots in North County:

  • CITY OF PASO ROBLES – 534
  • PASO ROBLES SCHOOL DISTRICT – 830 (Crosses into Monterey County)
  • CITY OF ATASCADERO – 443
  • ATASCADERO SCHOOL DISTRICT – 555
  • TEMPLETON CSD – 114
  • TEMPLETON SCHOOL DISTRICT – 196
  • SAN MIGUEL SCHOOL DISTRICT – 143
  • SHANDON SCHOOL DISTRICT – 24 (Crosses into Monterey County)

 

County election officials have not announced when they will resume counting the remaining ballots. But election officials expect the final report before Thanksgiving.

Update: SLO County election officials report 33,405 ballots still being counted

Late Friday, San Luis Obispo County Clerk-Record Tommy Gong released an updated tally of the remaining ballots by contest/district. There are now a total of 33,405 vote-by-mail and provisional ballots remaining to be counted. Here are the highlights of remaining vote-by-mail ballots in North County:

  • CITY OF PASO ROBLES – 3,298
  • PASO ROBLES SCHOOL DISTRICT – 5,576 (Crosses into Monterey County)
  • CITY OF ATASCADERO – 4,175
  • ATASCADERO SCHOOL DISTRICT – 5,174
  • TEMPLETON CSD – 1,398
  • TEMPLETON SCHOOL DISTRICT – 1,574
  • SAN MIGUEL SCHOOL DISTRICT – 833
  • SHANDON SCHOOL DISTRICT – 146 (Crosses into Monterey County)

 

County election officials will resume counting the remaining ballots on Monday at 9:30 a.m.


Original report posted Nov. 6:

SLO County election officials report 46,891 ballots still being counted

–On Wednesday at 5 p.m., San Luis Obispo County Clerk-Record Tommy Gong issued a status of canvass update.

The report says 46,891 vote-by-mail ballots are still being counted in San Luis Obispo County. An additional 2,361 provisional ballots need to be reviewed and counted, Gong said.

Vote-by-mail ballots that are postmarked by Election Day, Nov. 3, and received by the elections office within 17 days of the election are eligible to be counted. As a result, the number of vote-by-mail ballots may increase during the 17-day period.

County elections officials issued preliminary unofficial election results report on Wednesday morning. It reported 117,974 ballots from 184,050 registered voters.

The large number of remaining ballots could change the results of the races published in the county’s first election results report.

Ballot counting is in progress and open to the public. The next update of election results is expected from the county on Friday at 2 p.m.

Late Thursday, county election officials released a tally of the remaining ballots by contest/district. Here are the highlights of remaining vote-by-mail ballots in North County:

  • CITY OF PASO ROBLES – 5,058
  • PASO ROBLES SCHOOL DISTRICT – 8,621 (Crosses into Monterey County)
  • CITY OF ATASCADERO – 5,760
  • ATASCADERO SCHOOL DISTRICT – 7,177
  • TEMPLETON CSD – 1,398
  • TEMPLETON SCHOOL DISTRICT – 2,126
  • SAN MIGUEL SCHOOL DISTRICT – 1,142
  • SHANDON SCHOOL DISTRICT – 193 (Crosses into Monterey County)
