Update: Brush fire destroys 15 cars 

Fire appears to have started at auto wrecking yard

–Crews responded to a brush fire that broke out Monday at approximately 2:10 p.m., directly off Highway 101 near Wellsona Rd, according to Cal Fire.

Firefighters were called for a smoke check and discovered the fire, which reports say appears to have started at the Paso Robles Auto Wrecking yard and spread to nearby brush. 15 vehicles in the salvage yard were destroyed by the fire, according to Cal Fire.

CHP responded to provide traffic control due to smoke across the Highway.
