Small businesses showcase products at Atascadero community marketplace
Open-air event will include artisans, wellness businesses, and food vendors
– Mission Community Services Corporation Women’s Business Center will host the WBC Marketplace on Sunday, May 17, from noon to 4 p.m. at the Sunken Gardens in downtown Atascadero.
Organizers said the open-air marketplace will feature entrepreneurs from throughout San Luis Obispo County, including North County small businesses, makers, artisans, food vendors, and wellness entrepreneurs.
The event will include more than 60 vendor booths, handmade products, artisan goods, food trucks, local makers, and live community interaction at the Sunken Gardens. Organizers said the event will also provide opportunities for interviews with local entrepreneurs and representatives from the Women’s Business Center.
“The WBC Marketplace is designed to spotlight the incredible entrepreneurs who are building businesses throughout our region,” representatives from the Mission Community Services Corporation Women’s Business Center said. “This event gives local business owners an opportunity to connect directly with the community while celebrating the creativity and resilience of small businesses.”
The marketplace is part of the Women’s Business Center’s ongoing efforts to support entrepreneurs through no-cost business advising, training, and technical assistance programs aimed at helping businesses start and grow.
Admission to the event is free.
