Small vegetation fire breaks out in city limits 

No injuries reported

–On Tuesday May 24, 2016, 5:43 p.m., two engine companies of Paso Robles firefighters and one battalion chief responded to a reported vegetation fire in open space adjacent to Nicklaus St. and Oak Hill Rd. in the City of Paso Robles.

The vegetation fire was ¼ acre fire moving at a slow rate of speed in tall grass. 15 firefighters from the Paso Robles Department of Emergency Services and CDF/SLO County Fire Department contained the fire in 10 minutes. Mop-up and overhaul of the area was performed to fully extinguish all of the material burned. All units were released at 6:39 p.m. No firefighter injuries were reported.

The Paso Robles Firefighters were assisted by Paso Robles Police and Cal Fire/San Luis Obispo County Fire Department The subsequent investigation of the vegetation fire was undetermined. No witness or suspects have been identified at this time.
