Grammy-nominated producer Frankie Fuchs is featured act on Oct. 13
Grammy-nominated producer Frankie Fuchs will be the Songwriters At Play featured act at Sculpterra Winery on Sunday, Oct. 13.
Songwriters At Play holds showcases featuring one act and others playing 4-song sets every Sunday afternoon from 1-4 p.m.at Sculpterra Winery, 5015 Linne Road in Paso Robles. On Oct. 13, Grammy-nominated producer Frankie Fuchs will be the featured act.
Fuchs, part of the Songwriters at Play in July celebration of Woody Guthrie’s 101st birthday, was a childhood friend of the Guthrie family and has recorded, arranged, and produced more than 40 songs by Woody, including a duet with Arlo on “This Land is Your Land”. He has also played Carnegie Hall five times, as a guitarist with Cissy Houston and her daughter, Whitney.
Fuchs has placed original songs in more than 50 films and television shows, and produced such major artists as Taj Mahal, Billy Bragg, and Joe Ely.
A tip jar is passed around during the featured set, otherwise no cover charge. Sculpterra is a great place for a family picnic and all ages are welcome. For more information, call 226-8881.
