Update: South River Road closure canceled
Update: This closure has been canceled and will be rescheduled
– South River Road will be closed on Dec. 18 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for construction related to powerline upgrades.
The closure will affect South River Road between Creston Road and Navajo. The end time may vary depending on the completion of the work.
Message boards and temporary construction signage will direct motorists to a detour route during the closure. The detour will use Niblick Road to Appaloosa Road to Nickerson Drive, then onto Creston Road.
Construction will include power pole upgrades along the bluff and crane operations. Pacific Gas & Electric is upgrading power poles as part of its Estrella Highline Project to reinforce power to the City of Paso Robles.
