Southbound 101 lane in Santa Margarita closed for drainage work

–The right lane of southbound US Highway 101 will be closed just south of Tassajara Creek Road on Wednesday, Sept. 5 from 9 am until 12 noon for drainage work, according to Cal Trans.

Electronic message boards will be activated near Hwy. 41 in Atascadero so motorists will be aware of this maintenance work. Motorists can expect delays as they approach the project area.

The public should allow extra time for any appointments or business planned south of the project area.

This roadwork will be performed by the Caltrans Maintenance team of San Luis Obispo to ensure the safety of the traveling public.

Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway construction zones.

For traffic updates on other state highways in San Luis Obispo County, motorists may call Caltrans District 5 Public Affairs at (805) 549-3318 or can visit: http://www.dot.ca.gov/dist05/road_information.htm
