Special Olympics torch to pass through San Luis Obispo County

–On Monday, June 4th the Law Enforcement Torch Run – supporting Special Olympics – will pass through San Luis Obispo County.

The run starts in Paso Robles at 8 am. At 10 a.m. the torch is passed on to the Atascadero Police Department on the steps of Atascadero City Hall. They will run it to the State Hospital. The Torch continues its run through the county for the next 2 days. Click here to see the schedule.

Joining the Atascadero PD will be special athlete Matthew Shuck – Matthew will run the torch all the way to Santa Margarita – about 9 miles.

Matthew started his running career at Atascadero High School – in the past 20 years he has run over 100 1/2 marathons, all over the country and overseas. Matthew may have a disability but through running he showcases his ability!
