–The Lady Bearcats were on the road on Tuesday with a league match against the Orcutt Academy Spartans. After the singles first round, the match was tied up at 3-3. Paso pulled ahead taking 2 out of 3-second round doubles. Final score 5-4. The Bearcats Number 1 Anya Medearis continued to play strong winning her singles match as well as her doubles match. She is 4-0 in her last two matches.

Water polo lost to Arroyo Grande

The Lady Bearcats had a home match on Wednesday against the top team in the Mountain League. The Arroyo Grande Eagles won the match 8-1. Despite the score, Paso had some hard-fought sets in the singles round. Number 3 singles Livia Rambo won the one match for Paso with scores of 6-4, 6-1.

In Girls’ Golf, the Paso Robles High School defeated Pioneer Valley 275-301 on Thursday. Kayla Hernandez was the medalist with a 45. Paige Autry had the second lowest round of the day with a 53. The Bearcats are 1-0.

Freshman football lost 0-13

On Friday, Aug., 31, 2018. JV football won 33-0. Varsity football lost 10-17

On Friday, Aug. 31 and Saturday, Sept. 1, the Bearcat Varsity Boy’s Water Polo team competed in the Fresno Water Polo Tournament. The Bearcats opened the weekend against Sanger in an exciting back and forth battle which ended in a Shootout as the game was tied 7 to 7 at the end of regulation. The Bearcats came up short in the shootout as they scored 2 extra goals to Sanger’s 3. Goalie Zane Warren had an outstanding game with 16 saves, Tre Eade lead all Bearcat scores with 5 goals. The second game of the day found the Bearcats facing Sunnyside High School. The Bearcats won the game 11 to 5. Ethan Moore lead the team in scoring with 4 goals, Tre Eade added 3 goals. Saturday found the Bearcats facing Hoover High school. In a close game the Bearcats lost 5 to 3 behind another outstanding effort by goalie Zane Warren tallying 13 saves. The final game of the tournament the Bearcats faced Madera South in a victory. Final score was 7 to 4 as Zane Warren continued his outstanding play with 13 saves. The weekend found Tre Eade scoring 10 goals, Ethan Moore 6 goals, Cameron Armstrong 5 goals and a total of 48 saves for the 4 game tournament. The Bearcat Water Polo team is 4 and 4 overall for the season. Next game is a league game vs. San Luis Obispo at SLO on Tuesday, Sept. 4.

Girls Water Polo participated in the Clovis West Valley Showcase. The girls went 1-3. They beat Redwood, who were the defending Central Section Div. II champions 9-3.

Cross Country raced in the Arroyo Grande Meet. Freshman girls volleyball took 6th place in the Camarillo Tournament. The girls almost defeated the number one seeded team just before bracket play.
