Spring blooms, family activities draw visitors to Dallidet Adobe
Weekly flower sales and Family Day event bring visitors downtown
– Spring blossoms beautify the Dallidet Adobe in San Luis Obispo. Thursday morning, the SLO Flower Collective sold locally grown flowers at the historic Adobe. The SLO Collective sells flowers each Thursday morning at the Adobe.
Pierre Dallidet built the old adobe in 1856. Pierre settled in San Luis Obispo after a tour of duty in Tahiti with the French Foreign Legion. He made a short visit to California’s Mother Lode during the Gold Rush, then stopped in San Luis Obispo.
Teresa Sullenger of Atascadero purchased local flowers on Thursday. Teresa’s Carmelita Studio is producing a floral display for a big private Easter event near Pismo Beach.
Saturday is Family Day at the Dallidet Adobe. From 11-2 Saturday, there will be live music, tours of the historic Adobe, wine and cheese tasting, and earthworm demonstrations.
It’s a free event for the family at the Dallidet Adobe on Pacific Street in San Luis Obispo.
