State Route 41 one-way traffic control in Kern County

Caltrans will have one-way traffic control for Wednesday, Aug. 23, on State Route 41 in Kern County for roadway maintenance operations.

The following closure will be in effect, weather permitting:

  • One-way traffic control on State Route 41 between the San Luis Obispo County line and 1.5 miles east of the San Luis Obispo County line on Wednesday, Aug. 23, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Construction Crews will be conducting one-way traffic control during this time with the use of flagging personnel and a pilot vehicle to escort traffic through the work zone. Commuters are reminded to obey flagging personnel, stay behind the pilot vehicle and pay close attention to road maintenance vehicles.

Closures may continue for longer periods of time if necessary, due to delays caused by weather or uncontrollable events that may occur during road maintenance procedures. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes if possible.

Caltrans would like to thank residents and commuters for their patience during this work and remember to please “Slow for the Cone Zone”.
