#Stopthebans abortion rights rally being held in San Luis Obispo today
–A #stopthebans rally for abortion rights will be held Tuesday in downtown San Luis Obispo in response to laws restricting the procedure in states like Alabama and Missouri.
Women’s March SLO is hosting the rally, today at 6 p.m. in front of the San Luis Obispo Courthouse at 1050 Monterey St. (the side facing the Fremont Theater).
Their website reads:
Join Women’s March SLO in a nationwide day of action on May 21. In partnership with groups and organizations across the US, we are calling to #StopTheBans and fight for our reproductive rights and access to quality reproductive healthcare services, which includes safe, legal and affordable abortion and birth control for all people, regardless of income, location or education. Together, we will show up to speak out and fight back against this unconstitutional attempt to gut Roe and punish women. Together we say: Stop the bans.
The rally is one of many planned nationwide.
