    Stratolaunch flight engineer to speak at Estrella Warbirds dinner 

    The airplane has a 385-foot wingspan and is now the world’s largest airplane. It is currently undergoing flight testing and will serve as the airborne launch platform for commercial space launches.

    –Zach Reeder, flight engineer of the Stratolaunch Carrier Aircraft, will be a guest speaker on Wednesday, Sept. 5 at the Estrella Warbirds Museum dinner meeting.

    He will be presenting on the design, history, and construction of the Stratolaunch carrier aircraft which was developed by Scaled Composites for Microsoft billionaire Paul Allen. The airplane has a 385-foot wingspan and is now the world’s largest airplane. It is currently undergoing flight testing and will serve as the airborne launch platform for commercial space launches.     The public is invited to attend this monthly dinner meeting and reservations are a must. Dinner is $20 with a no-host bar. To make a reservation, please call (805) 296-1935. Reservations must be made before noon on Monday, Sept. 3. Doors open at 6 PM with dinner at 7 p.m.

    The museum is located at 4251 Dry Creek Road, Paso Robles.
