Studios on the Park hosts summer art lunch event

‘Petals in the Park,’ invites community members ages 8 and older to participate in hands-on art workshops led by Studios on the Park artists

    – Studios on the Park will host a new summertime luncheon event for the community on Sunday, June 8 at 11 a.m. in the downtown Paso Robles City Park.

The event, called “Petals in the Park,” invites community members ages 8 and older to participate in hands-on art workshops led by Studios on the Park artists. Attendees will rotate through stations to create their own original artwork in printmaking, pastels, and acrylic painting.

Anne Laddon will lead participants in creating floral pastel pieces. Christy Wilkins will teach the basics of acrylic painting with a focus on painting a mushroom-themed scene. The organization’s printmakers will guide guests through making their own prints.

A lunch catered by Chef Rachel will be included.

“The park will be transformed into a floral, summertime wonderland to inspire your creativity,” said Laddon, founder of Studios on the Park and organizer of the event. “Come play with us in the sunshine and create art surrounded by flowers and inspiration!”

Attendees are encouraged to wear floral-themed clothing. Handmade hats and headbands will be available for a $25 donation starting May 17. Proceeds will benefit Studios on the Park’s Kids Art Smart and Community Arts Access programs.

Tickets are $75 for adults and $50 for children ages 8 to 16. Tickets can be purchased at www.studiosonthepark.org or by calling (805) 238-9800.
