Superintendent rides the school bus
– Paso Robles Joint Unified School District Superintendent Chris Williams showed his appreciation for school bus drivers by joining the ride Friday morning from Bauer Speck Elementary School to Paso Robles High School.
“An exciting day for me to ride the bus and spend time with several Lewis Middle School and Paso Robles High School students and to recognize the outstanding work our employees do,” said Williams. “We are fortunate to have so many top-notch bus drivers who are committed to making a difference for our students.”
While getting to meet some students was a bonus, Williams says he rode the bus to highlight just how important our bus drivers and classified staff are to the students and district as a whole.
The Paso Robles School District offers training and employment for prospective school bus drivers. Contact Kelly Stainbrook, (805) 769-1160, in the Transportation Department to become our next bus driver.
This week, Williams will be riding with the maintenance and grounds crew.
