Suspect arrested on suspicion of selling narcotics following traffic stop

–Early Wednesday morning, Paso Robles Police Department and San Luis Obispo County Probation Officers conducted a traffic stop on a man on probation in the 1000 block of Veronica Drive.

A passenger in the car, Lowell Henslin, displayed signs of being under the influence of a controlled substance and was arrested by police.

Inside the car was a suspicious box, which Atascadero State Hospital’s police K-9 “Booker” alerted to. Inside the box were about five ounces of meth, seven grams of heroin, a scale, packaging material, cash, and a pill capsule containing an unknown powder, police report.

Henslin was arrested on suspicion of selling drugs.

“We thank our local allied law enforcement partners for the help they provide us daily,” said Paso Robles Police Commander Caleb Davis is a report. “PRPD maintains its commitment to be the safest city and the most trusted police department.”
