Suspect in Halloween mask reportedly robs store in San Luis Obispo

–Authorities are on the lookout for a suspect who fled on foot after reportedly robbing the Sally Beauty Supply Store in San Luis Obispo Saturday afternoon at gunpoint. The suspect was described as a man of an unknown race with an average build, about 5’11” tall wearing a gray coat, brown baseball hat, and a metallic silver Halloween-style mask and sunglasses covering his face.

On Saturday afternoon at about 4:06 p.m., the San Luis Obispo Police Department received a 911 call reporting an armed robbery had just occurred inside Sally Beauty Supply located at 285 Madonna Road in San Luis Obispo.

The suspect reportedly approached and displayed a handgun telling the store clerk to hand over all of the money in the register. The clerk gave the cash from the register to him and the suspect fled out the front door of the business. The suspect fled on foot towards El Mercado. There was no vehicle seen near the business and it is unknown if the suspect left the area on foot or in a vehicle.

The suspect was described as an unknown race male adult with an average build, approximately 5’-11” tall and 190 pounds, last seen wearing grey mid-length coat, brown baseball style hat, a metallic silver Halloween style mask and sunglasses covering his face. There were no injuries as a result of this crime.
