Suspected marijuana dealers arrested at Centennial Park
On Friday at approximately 1:40 p.m., Paso Robles Police Department detectives from the Special Enforcement Team patrolled the Centennial Park area in the 600 block of Nickerson Drive after repeated complaints of juveniles openly smoking marijuana in the park and surrounding area. Detectives contacted a group of juveniles who were observed actively smoking marijuana in the park.
Two of the juveniles contacted were found to be in possession of marijuana packaged for sale. A total of 74 grams of marijuana was seized from the juveniles, as well as packaging materials, and digital scales. The juveniles were placed under arrest for possession of marijuana with the intent to sell, a felony.
Both juveniles were transported to the Paso Robles Police Department where they were booked into custody. They were later released to the custody of their parents with a pending court date in Juvenile Court. As the suspects are juveniles, their names and photographs will not be released.
