Suspicious liquid prompts lockdown, investigation in South County 

–On Monday, at about 930 a.m., Grover Beach Police Officers were dispatched to a report of a suspicious bottle containing an unknown liquid. The responding officers determined further investigation was needed. The immediate area was cordon off and the school was placed on lockdown with the students sheltering in their classrooms as a precaution. The Five Cities Fire Authority, Hazmat, San Luis Count bomb squad, and San Luis County Public Health all responded to assist Grover Beach with this investigation. The suspicious bottle and its contents were safely retrieved for testing. The scene was cleared about 330 p.m. and the school has returned to its normal activity.
