Studios on the Park recognizes community advocate
– The 2025 Sweet Art fundraiser, hosted by Studios on the Park, will honor Stacie Jacob for her contributions to the Paso Robles community. The event, scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 11, at 3 p.m., will take place at Sensorio and feature a sunset reception with appetizers, desserts, wine, cocktails, and access to the renowned light installations. Guests are encouraged to dress in festive cowboy attire.
Proceeds from the event will benefit youth art classes, gallery exhibits, studio experiences, and other Studios on the Park programs.
Anne Laddon, founder of Studios on the Park, described Jacob as a transformative figure in Paso Robles. Laddon first met Jacob in 2004 when Jacob began her tenure as executive director of the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance, where she raised the region’s profile as a world-class wine destination.
“Stacie has done so much for our town, from her time with the Wine Alliance to her current company, Solterra Strategies,” Laddon said. “She’s integral with Travel Paso, promotes Libretto and Sensorio, and brings arts partners together in a way that few people could.”
Jacob expressed gratitude for the recognition and highlighted the importance of Studios on the Park.
“I’m honored to support Studios on the Park as this year’s Sweet Art honoree. The nonprofit provides an active gathering place for California artists, attracting both locals and visitors and providing the only formal art education that some local elementary kids enjoy,” Jacob said. “As I reflect on 20 years here in Paso Robles and on the Central Coast, it’s been remarkable to see nonprofits like Studios thrive and enhance the community.”
Laddon emphasized Jacob’s unique ability to connect the arts, travel, and agriculture sectors, describing her as an invaluable advocate for the community.
“Stacie is remarkably well-suited for understanding this community,” Laddon said. “She’s the right person, at the right time, to be helping our town grow. It’s amazing to witness.”
Jacob founded Solterra Strategies in 2011, providing marketing and public relations services to prominent regional businesses. She serves as president and CEO of Travel Paso and leads event management for the World of Pinot Noir. Her agency also supports initiatives such as the spring 2025 launch of FOSO, Bruce Munro’s newest exhibit at Sensorio, and works with notable clients like Laetitia, Presqu’ile, McPrice Myers, and Alchemists’ Garden.
Jacob’s career includes leadership roles with Visit San Luis Obispo County, the Washington Wine Commission, and the global public relations firm Fleishman Hillard. She currently serves on the boards of REACH and the San Luis Obispo County YMCA. WineBusiness Monthly recognized her as a 2023 Wine Industry Leader, among other accolades.
A Nebraska native, Jacob graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s agricultural journalism program. Reflecting on her background, Jacob highlighted the ties between agriculture, art, and the Paso Robles community.
“Ag and art are the foundation of so many Paso Robles treasures, from the sweeping landscapes dotted with vineyards, to the artful wine releases that we sip and swirl, to the sparkling Sensorio lights that blanket scenic hillsides,” Jacob said. “I’m thrilled to continue promoting this incredibly special community, and I’m truly humbled by this year’s Sweet Art recognition.”
