Swim Paso hosting community outreach meeting regarding aquatic complex

–Swim Paso Association invites the community to a Paso Robles Aquatic Complex Outreach Meeting happening Wednesday, Nov. 20, from 6-8 p.m. at the Paso Robles Courtyard Marriott. Topics will include an overview of what Swim Paso Association has accomplished towards the project over the past year, what the association is currently working on, and milestones toward completion of the project.

Swim Paso Association recently spoke at the Paso Robles Joint Unified School District (PRJUSD) Board meeting thanking them for recognizing Swim Paso Association as a community partner and in being aquatics boosters in the joint effort to see the Paso Robles Aquatic Complex become a reality.

Over the course of this past year Swim Paso Association has held community input meetings, conducted research on similar projects in and around our area, met regularly with PRJUSD Administration, explored possible relocation and redesign of the aquatic complex, identified potential grants available for the project, met with our state elected officials and the state parks department. This community outreach gathering is an opportunity to share with the community all of the activities and information the association has gathered.

The community outreach meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 20, 6-8 p.m. at the Courtyard Marriott on South Vine. They will also be participating in Giving Tuesday, which is an online fundraising and awareness campaign day for the kick-off to the holiday season. You can find our Giving Tuesday donation link at swimpaso.org.

Additionally, they will have some fun, family and athlete-focused events coming after the new year which will provide opportunities for fundraising and community building, including a Dive-In Movie night, Pool Open Water (POW) Swim event, spring and summer youth triathlons, annual water safety fair, and working on grant funding to provide free swim lessons to elementary-aged students in our community.
