Table-top Game Day returns to the library Aug. 24
–Thanks to generous funding from the Friends of the Library, Table Top Game Day, designed for ages 16+, allows participants to try out trending board games or enjoy a beloved classic while meeting new friends.
On Saturday, Aug. 24, from 1-4 p.m., the featured game will be Cosmic Encounter, in which each player is the leader of an alien race attempting to build a galactic empire by establishing colonies in other players’ planetary systems. Using force, cunning and diplomacy, players vie to establish colonies on five planets outside their home system.
Participants can also play any of the games owned by the Library including other trending games such as Settlers of Catan and Terraforming Mars and classic games such as Monopoly and Clue. Light refreshments will be provided. For more information, please contact Karen Christiansen, (805) 237-3870.
