Tackitt Family Vineyards raises $200,000 for EOD Warrior Foundation
Event honors the service and sacrifice of explosive ordnance disposal technicians
– Tackitt Family Vineyards announced the success of its 15th annual Warriors Helping Warriors fundraising event, held April 11, raising more than $200,000 in support of the EOD Warrior Foundation, a nonprofit that assists Explosive Ordnance Disposal technicians and their families.
The event took place at the vineyard’s Paso Robles estate and brought together community members, veterans, supporters, and partners for an evening recognizing the service of Explosive Ordnance Disposal personnel. Attendees participated in live music, wine tastings, auctions, and tributes.
“Reaching our 15th year is incredibly special,” said Leon Tackitt, a veteran and owner of Tackitt Family Vineyards. “This event is about more than fundraising—it’s about community, remembrance, and standing beside the brave men and women who serve in one of the military’s most dangerous roles. Raising over $200,000 this year speaks volumes about the generosity and commitment of everyone involved.”
The nonprofit organization provides financial assistance, scholarships, family support programs, and emergency relief to active-duty and veteran Explosive Ordnance Disposal personnel. Organizers said funds raised from the event will support those programs.
Organizers said the event has grown over 15 years into a regional gathering, drawing support from across California and other areas. They said this year’s total reflects continued demand for assistance within the Explosive Ordnance Disposal community.
