Tackitt Family Vineyards of San Miguel was recently awarded best of class for their 2012 petite sirah at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, the largest competition of American wines.

Tackitt Family Vineyards owner and winemaker, Leon Tackitt says, “The Paso Robles Rhone varietals are some of the best in the world so we are thrilled to receive this award among so many fabulous wines. I hope that everyone thinks of Paso Robles when they’re looking for delicious and affordable wines.”

    About the petite sirah

The vines were planted in 2009 on their estate and have quickly grown into one of their most-popular wines, quickly selling out in its debut. The wine is 100-percent estate-grown and 100-percent petite sirah varietal. The list price of the 2012 Petite Sirah is $32.
