Takken’s Shoes adjusts name, changes logo
Store will now be known as simply ‘takkens’
–Just weeks after celebrating the 78th Anniversary of the original Takken’s Shoe Store (H. Takken), the company namesake evolves again into a stand-alone brand with a new logo. Takken’s Shoes is now known simply as takkens.
Having recently relocated corporate offices to Templeton from downtown San Luis Obispo, takkens is, and will remain, a Central Coast company owned and operated by the Takken family. The change in branding was done in an effort to, “further establish the company name as a brand in its own right.”
The store is found in 18 locations from as far South as Thousand Oaks, to as far North as Roseville.
While the name change was already made through digital assets and marketing efforts in 2015, look for storefront and in-store remodels to begin rolling out in 2016.
