Taste of the Back Roads event returns to Paso Robles
Wine trail event to feature 20 wineries
– The 8th Annual Taste of the Back Roads Grand Tasting & VIP Experiences will take place Saturday, May 24, at the Cass Winery Barrel Room Event Center. The event will offer attendees a unique opportunity to explore the “hidden gem” wineries of the Paso Back Roads Wine Trail.
The Grand Tasting will feature more than 20 wineries, showcasing the diverse wines and winemaking styles that define the Paso Robles region. Attendees will have the chance to taste wines and engage with owners and winemakers in an up-close experience.
Event-goers will also enjoy 2-for-1 tastings at participating wineries on Sunday, May 25, with their event tasting program.
The event will kick off with VIP seminars from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., where guests can choose from the following seminar options:
- Home Wine-Making Seminar: Let Your Inner Winemaker Out!
- Barrel Profiling
- AVA Discussion: Discover the Effects of Terroir & Micro-Climates
- Sensory Tasting Experience: How Food Embellishes or Destroys the Wine in Your Glass
A VIP lunch will follow from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., along with a VIP auction. The Collective Grand Tasting for general admission will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., with live music and bites from Executive Chef Charles Paladin Wayne, along with a savory cheese and charcuterie grazing board.
The full auction will close at 3 p.m.
The event will also feature a silent auction with 100% of proceeds benefiting the Family Care Network, a local nonprofit that supports vulnerable children, youth, and families in San Luis Obispo County. Auction items will include vineyard tours, barrel and library tastings, overnight getaways, and more.
Tickets for the event are available now, with early bird pricing available until April 1.
