Teen ‘Snack & Craft Friday’ happening Aug. 2
–Teens, ages 13-17, are invited to learn a new craft, try a new snack and hang out with friends on Friday, Aug. 2, from 3-5 p.m. Rounding out the Summer Reading Program theme, “A Universe of Stories,” paint a cosmic zodiac sign to hang or give as a gift.
According to Youth Services Librarian Melissa Bailey, “We want to give teens in our community plenty of opportunities to try new things and find a creative outlet they love. To that end, we are starting up a summer series of classes dedicated to introducing teens to a new craft each month. These classes will focus on testing out one new skill and will involve a lot of snacks and music, staples for any crafty teen.”
Registration is required. Visit www.prcity.com/246/Classes-Events. For more information, contact Melissa Bailey, (805) 237-3870.
