Templeton Community Services District declares Stage 1 Water Resource Severity Level

On Tuesday night, the Templeton Community Services District (TCSD) Board of Directors declared a water supply Stage 1 Resource Severity Level as outlined in the TCSD water code.

TCSD residents will receive a written notice within the next couple of days regarding the Stage 1 declaration and will be asked to comply with conservation measures that include:

  • All landscaping and outside watering will be prohibited between the hours of 8 am to 5 pm with the exception of Templeton Park.
  • All wasting of water will be prohibited. Examples include, but are not limited to washing streets, sidewalks and driveways down instead of sweeping, letting hoses run open without a controlling device at the end, and outside water or irrigation practices that result in water running off the property

In addition to the written notice, local radio, TV and newspapers will be asked to publicize the declaration, and the District will prepare water conservation brochures that will be mailed out with the written notice.
