Templeton Eagles beat La Miranda 

–Templeton High School girls basketball team beat La Mirada Thursday night 53-22 in the first round of the CIF Playoffs.

The Eagles led 18-2 at the end of the first quarter. The lead afforded Coach Sean Koehler the opportunity to clear his bench early. Everyone played, including one player Koehler brought up from JV for the game. Four sophomores played most of the fourth quarter, which gave them valuable CIF playoff experience in front of a large crowd.

The Eagles will play a second round game at La Quinta Saturday night.
