Templeton Eagles beat Nipomo
–The Templeton High School softball team beat Nipomo 29-1 Thursday to finish the regular season undefeated at 22-0.
Athletic Director Lindsey Campana-Franklin does not remember a previous undefeated season, but says during her own playing era the Templeton softball team dominated the Los Padres League and won a CIF championship. Lindsey says this 2018 team faced some tough competition in tournaments before conference play began. “They beat some good teams.”
On Monday, the Eagles will learn who they will face in the first round of the CIF tournament. The first round game will be played Thursday. Because the Eagles are ranked high in the CIF division, it’s likely Templeton will host the first round game at Vineyard Park.
