Templeton Library launches summer reading program
Children ages 1-17 can track reading hours for prizes
– Templeton Library will launch its Summer Reading Program, “Stars, Stripes and Stories,” on June 9 at 10 a.m.
The program is open to children ages 1-17. Participants may record the number of hours they spend reading independently or being read to in order to qualify for prizes.
Grand prizes include a red 24-inch bicycle, a blue and silver scooter with a helmet, Lego kits, art kits, puzzles, stuffed animals, and other prizes.
Templeton Library is located at 1173 S. Main St., across from Templeton High School.
The library offers a children’s and young adult collection that includes every Caldecott Award-winning book from 1934 through 2025, along with recent editions of many popular children’s book series.
According to the library, Templeton residents built the current library when county funding did not materialize in 2018.
More information is available at templetonlibrary.org or by visiting the library during regular operating hours. The library is open Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday through Friday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
