Templeton Talon Marching Band, Color Guard sees success in 2015

Band, color guard, places in multiple competitions

–The Templeton High School Talon Marching Band and Color Guard just completed their season.

They reported great success in 2015, including:

· Atascadero Colony Days Band Festival – First Place Overall, First Place Drum Major
· Foothill Band Review in Pleasanton, CA – First Place in Division 2A
· Selma Rotary Band Festival – 2nd Place Division 6A (Open)
· Tiger Band Festival (Lemoore) – 1st Place Division 2ATempleton marching band

These band festivals have over 20 bands competing from around California. The 6A Division is for the largest high schools, meaning Templeton was competing against much larger schools with larger bands. They are led by director David Landers.

Their season starts in the summer with weekly practices and full week, all day practice known as band camp the week before start of school. During the season, they practice three times per week as well as performing at football games and in competitions.

Templeton High School Marching Band performs at half time of all home football games for the Templeton Eagles.
