    Templeton’s Ashley Daugherty pitches a no hitter 

    North County sports update

    –Templeton’s Ashley Daugherty threw her second no-hitter of the week Friday afternoon at Vineyard Athletic Fields.

    Ashley threw six innings to beat Pioneer Valley 10-0. On Tuesday, she no-hit Santa Maria, 7-0. The Sr. pitcher has committed to Texas A & M.

    The Eagles improve to 3-0.

    Athletic Director Lindsey Franklin says, “The challenge is getting the games in right now. Both baseball and softball teams are behind schedule because of rain-outs. The baseball team was supposed to play Saturday at Immanuel in Reedley, but the game was called because of the weather forecast- more rain.”

    The Templeton baseball team lost to Righetti Friday, 6-0.

    The Paso Robles baseball team won its third straight game Friday. They beat Arroyo Grande 9-6 in the south county. They improve to 4-2 for the season.

    The Atascadero softball team lost at home to Buchanon 7-1.

    The Greyhound baseball team plays the Salinas Cowboys at 12 noon Saturday in Atascadero, weather permitting.
